I HAVE NOW MOVED TO http://www.upsidedowninoz.com

Hello, I’m Nicola, a British expat and mum of one from Manchester, currently living in Melbourne.

Since moving to Australia in 2010, I have experienced immense highs, and extreme lows; a natural part of life, but which can be particularly intense as an expat.

These have been further exacerbated by the birth of my now two and a half year old daughter, with amazing weekends spent with the sand between our toes counteracted by the gaping hole that can only be filled by family.

This blog will document some of my experiences down the yellow brick road including observations and obstacles along the way, what’s amazing, what’s not, relationships, homesickness, having a baby, personal growth, advice, and much more.

My posts will particularly draw on my journey as an expat, but some content will be relevant to anyone occasionally finding themselves feeling ungrounded, undecided, and upside down.
